Aston Villa will host Sheffield United at Villa Park on Friday night as the two sides meet in the Championship.
Dean Smith’s side will want to return to winning ways and will know three points will be able to put them in touching distance of the playoffs.
And, according to the club’s official website, it appears The Villans have may been handed a huge boost in their hopes of picking up a victory.
James Chester is believed to be in contention for the game against Sheffield United following a troublesome knee issue.
The defender has been on the sidelines recently with the problem and missed the match against Reading at the weekend.
However, he has since been back in training and Smith will assess him ahead of the meeting with The Blades to see if he can be included in his matchday squad.
The Verdict:
Chester has been an influential figure for Aston Villa this season and it will come as a huge boost to the club if he were made available.
The defender has been a rock at the back for The Villans who have struggled in that particular area of the field throughout the current campaign, whilst he has also scored a number of important goals as well.
However, should the 30-year-old not be deemed fit for the game, both Tyrone Mings and Tommy Elphick could keep their partnership at the back going after keeping a clean sheet against Reading.
