And there we are, Mark Warburton has been confirmed as Nottingham Forest’s new manager after a pretty intense few days of speculation surrounding his future, and fans here in the Transfer Tavern are deep in debate about the appointment.
Despite his Rangers debacle this season, the 54-year-old is a tactician that knows the Championship well after his spell with Brentford, but no level of knowledge can prepare any manager for the often bizarre actions of chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi, who even took it upon himself to announce the news on Twitter before the club’s official channels!

The Kuwaiti businessman has developed a reputation for his trigger-happy running of the club and a huge section of fans at the City Ground actively want his ownership of the club to come to an end.
