Manchester City have entered a new era this summer, with Pep Guardiola’s decade-long reign coming to an end and Enzo Maresca taking over at the Etihad.
Maresca’s competitive debut could hardly have gone worse, with City beaten 3-0 by Arsenal in the Community Shield.
The squad has also undergone significant change, with long-serving figures including Bernardo Silva and John Stones departing, while Rodri has moved to Barcelona and Tijjani Reijnders has joined the Saudi Pro League.
With Maresca now reshaping his squad, City appear to have turned their attention towards an exciting young Brazilian forward.
Man City In Talks to Sign Allan
Manchester City are in negotiations to sign Palmeiras winger Allan Elias, according to ESPN, as the Premier League giants look to add another attacking option before the transfer window closes.
Talks are understood to be progressing over a possible deal for the 22-year-old, who has emerged as a candidate to replace Savinho at the Etihad.
City’s interest comes as Savinho edges closer to a move to Tottenham, with Spurs having renewed their pursuit of the Brazil international after failing to land him last summer.
The north London club are also working on a deal for City forward Omar Marmoush, potentially making the final weeks of the window particularly significant for Maresca’s attacking options.
For City, Allan could therefore arrive as part of a reshaped forward line, with the Palmeiras star now firmly on their radar.
