Manchester United have already overseen a number of departures during a busy summer rebuild.
The most notable exit saw Casemiro leave for Inter Miami after his contract expired, while Rasmus Højlund completed a permanent move to Napoli following his loan spell.
Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia have also departed as free agents as United continue to reshape their squad, while the future of Marcus Rashford remains uncertain.
Now, another midfielder appears to be heading for the exit door.
Collyer Free to Leave United
According to The Sun, Manchester United have informed Toby Collyer that he is free to leave the club on a permanent deal this summer.
The 22-year-old, once described as “aggressive” by United captain Bruno Fernandes, was left out of the senior squad for the club’s pre-season friendly against Atletico Madrid and instead featured for the Under-21s.
Collyer’s chances of regular first-team football have diminished following the arrivals of Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans, while Kobbie Mainoo has also committed his long-term future to the club.
Championship clubs are understood to be monitoring the midfielder’s situation, with Collyer entering the final year of his contract after injury-hit loan spells at West Bromwich Albion and Hull City last season.
The former Brighton academy player has made 13 senior appearances for Manchester United since making his debut in the 2024 Community Shield.
