The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been unsure of this upcoming season as their key man and the gem in their crown, Manuel Lanzini has suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament and will miss most of the season. However, this update from the player himself has given the fans hope.

The West Ham fans propping our bar up will have to get by with the likes of Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic to get by them through this season as they’ll be without their brilliant Argentine. Lanzini has been one of West Ham’s best players over the last couple of seasons and his absence won’t be taken well as the club face another season battling against relegation, but with Manuel Pellegrini in charge, they’ll be odds on to stay up.
Lanzini has said himself that he should be back fit at the beginning of 2019, however, he’s reluctant to put a date on his return as any setbacks will only upset the fans. Still, though, the fact that he’s already on the road to recovery is positive news and the sooner he’s back the better for the fans who will be looking forward to seeing how he plays under their new gaffer.
