Leeds: Fans discuss Reading’s defensive structure

Leeds United were back in action last night in the Sky Bet Championship and earned another win to keep the pressure firmly up on West Brom who play later on this evening.
The Whites have had a good campaign so far and as we head into the festive period they are looking a tough side to beat as well as one that has a knack of finding a way to win at the moment.
Certainly, they are looking promotion contenders once again this season with that all in mind but they are going to have to keep finding ways to win against sides likes Reading who are well organised and can defend well.
Naturally, teams are going to want to be compact at important periods of the game against Leeds and that was demonstrated last night at the Madejski Stadium as Phil Hay provided this photo of the Royals defender a set-piece:
To give an idea of how tightly Reading were defending, this was a Leeds free-kick in the second half. All 11 of Reading’s players in the box (or thereabouts): pic.twitter.com/aI2zxj6M3y

This naturally had fans talking on Twitter so let’s take a look at what Whites fans have had to say:
Looks like Alioski has tied their laces together for a laugh

Clearly the low rate championship teams have decided that this is how you frustrate Leeds – but yet (so far) we've managed to find a way through because of our determination and fitness. This is why we don't score a hatful but it's also why we just keep picking the points up

They defended very well one of most organised sides we’ve played this season Ejaria like Eze too good for lower level Championship

Overall performance from Reading suggested they are in a false position. Bowen looks to have steel and structure. Much better than last year when it was men against boys.

Imagine playing at home and defending with ten behind the ball all game. I’d rather lose and at least try and win than sit and hope a long ball pays off!
