Sheffield Wednesday: Fans discuss Sam Hutchinson’s lack of game-time

Sheffield Wednesday are in disarray on and off the pitch as they have one win in seven league games and an ongoing investigation hanging over them in regard to the sale of Hillsborough to Dejphon Chansiri.
To make matters worse, Garry Monk has dropped some experienced senior members of the squad in Sam Hutchinson and Keiren Westwood, and it is fair to say that his decision-making is not paying off at the moment. The Owls’ terrible run of six defeats in nine league games has pretty much ruled out their hopes of a play-off finish, especially if the outcome of the investigation is a points deduction.
In regard to the players omitted from the squad, Monk has stated that it will be down to him if Hutchinson returns, and although he hasn’t featured in four games the Wednesday boss hasn’t ruled him out of contributing at some point.
Still, not all supporters are taking his side in a discussion about his future, with some critical of Hutchinson’s attitude as well as his footballing ability. Others blame Monk for the falling out with the midfielder and suggest it is a sign of his weak management, with a number of reactions being shown below.
You can't give players who have broken club rules time on the pitch, spot on from Monk. He probably doesn't want to freeze him out but for player power to win would be more detrimental to the squad

He’s not been great as he at a guess monks probably told him he’s not good enough like he has a lot of the others you won’t be here come May and he’s thrown his toys out of the pram….!

Off the field costing on the field dearly. A manager needs to manage.

🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ off field stuff should be dealt with but on the field we need our better players and fighters but instead the clubs results suffer 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤷♂️

However Sam Hutchinson is the type of player to drag this side out of the state its in at the moment regardless of any arguments that have happened

He’s known as a hothead. If he doesn’t behave himself as is insinuated then Gary is the boss and has every right to leave him out

Get rid, he’s a bad Apple. No coincidence him and Westwood both frozen out under 2 different managers

Hutchinson may be a long-term servant but with his contract up in summer he could depart, do you think that would be a good thing or a bad thing Wednesday fans?
