Several Charlton fans have given their response to one of the coolest moments seen in the Championship so far this season.
When Charlton were 2-1 down and given a penalty at Oakwell in the 89th minute, everyone associated with Charlton must have been biting their nails. That is everyone apart from one man: Lyle Taylor.
Taylor was able to put the penalty away with ease and Charlton were able to take a point with them from Yorkshire back to South London. It has continued their impressive start to the season, with the Addicks sitting in second after three matches.
However, Taylor doesn’t have ice in his veins just because he could slot away a penalty; it is the way in which he slotted it.
Taylor picked up the ball, placed it on the spot, walked backwards ready for his run-up and then lackadaisically walked towards the ball before before rolling it in the bottom right corner.
It’s got quite the reaction on Twitter, with Charlton fans out there loving it, but this is the kind of class they have become accustomed to under Taylor, who scored 22 goals in League One last season.
