Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have mixed feelings after Metro revealed the Blues are set to make a shock bid to sign Theo Walcott.
Walcott, who has 12 months remaining on his contract, is hung up on signing a new deal at the Emirates.
And this has led to him being linked with a move to Liverpool and now most recently Chelsea.
Jose Mourinho’s system at Stamford Bridge is heavily reliant on pacey wingers and Walcott would fit the bill perfectly.
Manchester United are also believed to be interested but the general belief in the Tavern is that if Chelsea came calling, that is where Walcott would end up.
As Chelsea muscle their way into this transfer race they are now lining up a bid to take him off Arsenal’s hands as soon as this upcoming summer!
