The Transfer Tavern is a hive of activity this evening as the bar holds it monthly quiz night where fans from all club’s come to test their football knowledge.
Over by the jukebox on opposite tables are fans of both Manchester City and Manchester United who are discussing how they think the weekends meeting between the two sides.
It will be Manchester United’s last opportunity to break into the top four should they leave the Etihad Stadium and with their exit in the Europa League to Liverpool on Thursday the fans know that Champions League football may be lacking from Old Trafford next term.
As for City they had better week in Europe in qualifying for the Quarter Final stage of the Champions League for the first time in their history.
With the big game being shown on the big screen here on The Transfer Tavern on Sunday afternoon, our landlord has been looking at the squads and has come up with his combined XI.

David De Gea
Another tremendous season for Manchester United’s number one.
Has saved them from defeat on so many occasions this season so far, which has enhanced his reputation as one of the worlds best goalkeepers.
The fine performances have brought back the speculation that Real Madrid could return with a new and improved offer to take the Spanish international home to Spain.
Matteo Darmian
The Italian defender has been another who has tried hard for United this season.
He has made 32 appearances for club and country and has looked good whenever he has appeared for the Old Trafford club.
At 26 there is a lot more to come from him and he could be an important figure in United’s back four for many years to come.
Vincent Kompany
What you see is what you get from the no nonsense City defender.
Although he has only played 12 Premier League games for City so far this season through injury he has shown what an important role he plays in the squad.
Speculation regarding his future is rife but on his day he is still one of the most commanding centre backs in the Premier League.
Chris Smalling
The Manchester United defender has come into his own this season at Old Trafford.
The way he has progressed has impressed all critics and with him being a near ever present at the back for United this season he still has his best years ahead.
Smalling will surely want a big end to the current campaign to ensure his place in the England squad for the EURO 2016 finals in France this summer.
Pablo Zabaleta
The experienced Argentine would be a welcome addition to any Premier League side and he is someone who always gives his all from the first to the last minute of every game.
Great defensively but also plays his part with some marauding runs down the right wing and has even been known to pop up at the right time to convert a goal or two.
Raheem Sterling
The £49 million summer signing has took to life at City like a duck to water.
Although he has not had as many assists for the blue side of Manchester compared to his time at Liverpool he has still caused turmoil to many defences in the Premier League.
The price tag doesn’t seem to have affected his form and having won the first trophy of his career he will no doubt be eager to taste more success.
Yaya Toure
The Ivorian international is just the man you need to fill in the gap between the midfield and the defence.
Toure is known for his long rangy runs and no nonsense tackling ability.
Has scored the odd screamer or two in his career but again many Premier League sides would love a player of Toure’s talent at their disposal.
Ander Herrera
The 26 year old Spaniard has gone about his business fairly unnoticed this season so far.
Herrera has been influential in a lot of Manchester United’s forward play and has the knack for popping up and scoring the odd screamer or two.
One of Louis Van Gaal’s best signings during his time at the club and will no doubt prove to be an important player in years to come at Old Trafford.
Kevin de Bruyne
The Belgian midfield maestro has become and instant fan favourite at the Etihad since joined the club from Wolfsburg in the summer.
A string of impressive displays and goal scoring ability show why City were so eager to add him to their squad.
Has been sorely missed by the City fans since suffering an injury against Everton in their Capital One Cup Semi Final victory in January.
Anthony Martial
The young Frenchman’s signing raised a few eyebrows when he signed for Manchester United from Monaco for a fee that could rise as high as £61.5 million.
Despite the huge transfer fee the youngster has got on with the job at hand and has scored some really important goals for the Old Trafford side.
Since joining Martial has scored 12 times in 38 appearances in all competitions.
Sergio Aguero
The Argentine striker is one of the most prolific in the Premier League at present.
Put himself into the City history books scoring an injury time winner against QPR which brought the blue side of Manchester their first Premier League title.
Since joining City in the summer of 2011 he has managed to score 126 times in 191 appearances in all competitions.
