Many Aston Villa fans praised manager Dean Smith after he picked up the LMA Performance of the Week award.
The club’s official website announced the tactician’s latest accolade on the back of the Villans’ sensational 7-2 thrashing of reigning Premier League champions Liverpool before the international break.

Villa’s triumph was one of a number of crazy results in England’s top flight over the past few weeks, with Leicester’s 5-2 win against Manchester City and Tottenham’s 6-1 victory against Manchester United also standing out.
After narrowly avoiding relegation last season, Smith’s side have had a perfect start to the new campaign, winning all three games and sitting in second place in the table.

Unsurprisingly, plenty of support and approval came in from the Villa Park faithful on social media as these fans congratulated the 49-year-old for capturing what was a “fully deserved” award.
