The Birmingham City supporters were crying into their empty pint pots on Saturday afternoon here in the Football Transfer Tavern, following a 1-0 defeat to fierce rivals Aston Villa at Villa Park which left the Blues fighting for Championship survival.
Harry Redknapp now has two games in which to guide the Blues towards staying in the second tier for next season and given Birmingham’s current form there is no reason at all to suggest that they will stay up.
The Blues’ faithful have been disgruntled with their team during the current campaign, with many of them spending several nights over the last nine months getting rather tipsy here in the Tavern.
This weekend the Blues take on Huddersfield Town in their last home game of the campaign and anything other than three points could plunge them deeper into the relegation mire.
Our landlord looks at two players who could be axed for this weekend’s massive fixture.
David Davis

The new Birmingham boss might look to go a little more attacking in the middle of the park today and that could be bad news for the industrious Davis, who may miss this one.
One Blues supporter is sat tucking into a bacon butty and he believes that Davis should be dropped, stating that his performances of late have not met the required standards.
Jacques Maghoma

Another player who could potentially miss out on today’s game is the speedy winger Maghoma who might be handed a place on the bench instead for the visit of Huddersfield.
One Blues fan is chatting to the landlord over a pot of tea in the Tavern this morning and he believes that although Maghoma is a useful player to have within their ranks, he often lacks an end product making him an extremely frustrating player.
Birmingham City fans, would you be happy to see these two dropped today? Let us know in the comments below!!!
