Gerard Deulofeu only had two full seasons as an Everton player, as per Transfermarkt, but that hasn’t stopped him building a relationship with the club and its fans.
He spoke very fondly of the Toffees while talking to Sky Sports:
“I have a good relationship and a good connection with Everton fans. They love me and I love them. Every time I go to Goodison, the people are really happy and I’m proud about this.” – @gerardeulofeu on his relationship with the Everton fanspic.twitter.com/Rp0nSjtG4U

The Spaniard was impressive for Watford last season, scoring 10 goals and assisting five in 26 Premier League starts and four substitute appearances, as per WhoScored – he also averaged 1 key pass and 1.6 dribbles per game throughout the campaign.
A mix of the 25-year-old’s technical ability and the relationship he shares with the fans have led to some Evertonians suggesting they would like to have him back in a blue shirt.
The fans will be seeing him back at Goodison Park soon, though not in the capacity they would like, as Everton host Deulofeu and his Watford team-mates in their second Premier League game of the season on Saturday.

We all appreciate quality Gerard. Pity previous managers didn’t do the same. See you Saturday. COYB.
