Frank Lampard is reportedly now looking to raid two clubs in the Premier League in a triple transfer swoop for Everton after James Tarkowski.

The Lowdown: Tarkowski close

As per The Daily Telegraph, the Goodison Park outfit are now expected to sign James Tarkowski on a free transfer, after he let his contract run down at Burnley.

Given the disappointment of their league form last season, they are unlikely to stop there in terms of incomings, with more players expected to come through the doors on Merseyside.

The Latest: Triple raid?

Writing in his latest piece for The Daily Telegraph, reliable journalist Matt Law has revealed that Lampard is now looking to raid his former club Chelsea, as well as their London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, for three more players this window.

They are Harry Winks, Conor Gallagher and Billy Gilmour, all of whom are liked by the Toffees manager, and could be available on loan.

The Verdict: Two will do

While signing all three players may be slightly unrealistic, even bringing two of them in will help bolster Lampard's squad for next season.

Of course, they all have sufficient experience of playing in the Premier League, with Gallagher in particular impressing last term, scoring eight goals and making a further five assists in total over all competitions from midfield while on loan at Crystal Palace (Transfermarkt).

Nonetheless, with Donny van de Beek returning to Manchester United from his own loan spell with the Blues, and other midfielders set for the chopping block, the middle of the park looks to be an area of the pitch that will need strengthening.
