Lots of Everton fans have been left fuming as some news emerged on their plans for the upcoming January transfer window.

As per The Liverpool Echo, the Goodison Park faithful are unlikely to spend big because of restrictions with Financial Fair Play (FFP), with sales and sending fringe players out on loan potentially determining how much money Rafa Benitez will have at his disposal.

Talks are currently focused around signing a winger and box-to-box midfield player, but it is not yet clear at this stage whether the Merseyside club will be able to sign both.

After getting off to a promising start, the Toffees currently find themselves in a measly 10th spot in the Premier League table, after their latest loss away at Wolves on Monday night, and so could do with more reinforcements.

Their squad is pretty thin as it is, and some Blues feel as if other positions need to be strengthened first of all, given that they already signed and Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray as wingers in the summer, and have plenty of options in the middle of the park.
