Everton: Toffees offered the chance to sign Isco

Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, Seville, Spain - 10 August, 2022. Sevilla's new signing Isco during his presentation.

Everton have been offered the chance to bring experienced midfielder Isco to the Premier League, according to reports.

The Lowdown: Free agent in the market

The Spaniard most recently played his football in La Liga with Sevilla, but after having his contract terminated, is now a free agent and on the lookout to find his next destination.

The Times’ Paul Joyce credited Sean Dyche’s side with an initial interest in the 30-year-old at the start of the month, but there has since been a significant development in the transfer tale.

The Latest: Everton offered Isco

According to 90min, Everton have been ‘offered the services’ of Isco after his representatives ‘reached out’ to several clubs regarding taking him on a short-term deal.

The Benalmadena native does ‘not want to wait’ until the summer before making his next move so is therefore ‘on the hunt for employment’.

It’s reported that the veteran ‘would consider’ putting pen to paper at Goodison Park to get back out onto the pitch as quickly as possible.

Toffees fans, who scored your first goal of the 2022 calendar year?

The Verdict: No-brainer

Isco has been dubbed a ‘magician’ by talent scout Jacek Kulig and Everton completing a deal for him is a no-brainer of a decision to make.

The Nike-sponsored star has posted 144 goal contributions throughout his career and is a versatile player with the ability to operate in an astonishing eight different positions (Transfermarkt).

The Toffees failed to sign a single player during the January window so the free agent market is all they can now target, and Isco could be an extremely useful addition to make.

However, having been released from former club Sevilla, there is a warning sign for Everton and Dyche that he may also be on a downward trajectory.

That being said, perhaps the pull of playing in world football’s most glamorised division could motivate Isco to reignite past form.
