Plenty of Fulham fans were left calling for a former player’s return after Calum Chambers was spotted in the stands at Craven Cottage during the team’s thumping 4-0 victory at home to Millwall on Wednesday evening.
The Whites’ dominant performance may have caught the eye on a superb night of football under the lights, though fans’ attention was switched to the discovery of last year’s Player of the Season watching on, thanks to a post from the club’s Twitter account during half-time.
Chambers looked on as Fulham racked up 88% of the possession by the interval, but fans were wanting more, with plenty demanding the club make a move for the Arsenal centre-back and reinstall him to the Fulham squad.
It is clear that supporters still hold a place in their hearts for Chambers, with fans’ responses dominated by pleas for the 24-year-old to turn out once again for Fulham in the near future.
So as some hold out for a January swoop for Chambers, his appearance has certainly given supporters reason to believe a return to the club could be on the cards:
