Fulham fans are getting behind youth product Tyrese Francois after the youngster was given the Johnny Haynes Academy Player of the Year award.
Voted for by academy players and staff, Francois received the award pitchside during the interval of the team’s 4-0 win over Millwall earlier in midweek.
The 19-year-old took to Twitter to thank his peers for the award, where fans responded by congratulating the versatile midfielder for scooping the accolade, with plenty of high hopes for the teenager among the comments.
Fans are in full support of Francois’ progression, with some hoping he can follow in the footsteps of Ryan and Steven Sessegnon, while others feel his award will be the first of many.
Having made a couple of non-competitive appearances for the first team, there is certainly a promise about Australian-born Francois’ career – and fans seem glad that a player of such prospective talent is learning his trade at their club:
