Sunderland strengthened their promotion push with a very comfortable 3-0 win against Bristol Rovers and for some fans, one player stood out more than most as the Black Cats moved within 3 points of top spot.
Indeed, George Dobson has been a bit of a contentious figure this season having failed to impress sections of the support on occasion, but he barely put a foot wrong on Saturday and was a menace in the middle of the pitch.
The 22-year-old was influential on and off the ball against the Gas, achieving 96% pass accuracy and three interceptions (per WhoScored), as well as winning 100% of his ground duels (as relayed by Mezzala Scout on Twitter). As a result, Many Sunderland supporters were left very impressed with what Dobson showed against Rovers, and he has received multiple plaudits as a result, as the following reactions show.
