Glasgow Rangers have had their difficulties with the press over the past few months.
The Gers fans have often criticised journalists, such as Keith Jackson and Graham Spiers, for the way they have covered the Ibrox outfit, whilst there have also been a number of inaccuracies in reports on the 54-time Scottish champions – Club 1872 were forced to lodge an IPSO complaint, which they eventually won, following a piece by The Daily Record.
The latter has therefore become the subject of a boycott from the Gers supporters, so it is fair to say that the latest move by the Gers has not gone down well with the fans. It appears that the Glasgow side have signed a deal with Reach PLC, who own the newspaper, to produce their matchday programmes.
Will you buy the matchday programme?
Yes
No
The club shared a tweet on Tuesday about the upcoming programme for their match against St. Johnstone, and it is fair to say that the fans were far from happy. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
Major own goal here Rangers, not be touching anything to do with the daily record.

Who ever set this partnership up needs to have a hard look at themselves, shameful.

Will not buy one again sorry you’ve got this wrong on so many levels

I won’t be touching this if the daily record are involved.
Such a shame as the club have been knocking it out of the park recently.

Dear Rangers,
At what point do the club take notice that the Daily Record are lickspittles of our rivals and seek almost daily to push the Rangers bad narrative?
This is a MASSIVE error of judgement and one the fans cannot, will not get behind.
Shame really.
A fan.

I’ll never buy from @Daily_Record
This is one daft agreement.
