According to the Daily Mail, Steve Kean is ready to break the bank to land Senegalese hit man Papiss Cisse doubling his original £6m offer.

As the Rovers boss looks to inject a morale boost into his deflated squad, thanks to the departure of Phil Jones and Chris Samba looking to follow suit, it would certainly be a positive indication of his future ambition whilst he holds the thrown at Eawood, as this potential signing would smash the Lancashire clubs transfer record.
The 26 year old has spent two seasons at Freiburg making 50 appearances hitting the target an impressive 30 times. His eye for goal doesn’t end at club level as he has beaten the keeper on seven occasions during nine outings for his country.
Mirrorfootball has reported Rovers won’t have it all their own way as they look to tempt him with a new challenge as Lokomotiv Moscow, Zenit St Petersberg and Dynamo Kiev all are believed to be showing their admiration for the powerful striker, and its believed he is looking for a staggering £75k a week.
