The recent troubles Arsenal were perhaps the most documented in modern history, with Twitter hashtags, YouTube channels, newspaper outlets, online sites, and many other sources, all weighing in on Arsene Wenger’s final years at the club.
Now, with Unai Emery in charge and the Gunners flying again, the situation seemed to have cooled, and we can all return to normality without the fear of having to watch another viral video from Arsenal Fan TV.
With so many poor decisions from above happening in the past few years, it will be tough to isolate the worst.
However, here are our two contenders…
Wenger In

Like the old family pet that no one wants to say goodbye to (apart from the majority of the world), Arsene Wenger survived far longer than he should have at the Emirates.
Arsenal were performing poorly, the tactics were sadly dated, and Wenger looked completely out of his depth. The board should have, and probably would have, had he been anyone else, acted a little more assertively.
Sentiment is not a good enough reason for a manager to maintain his role at one of the biggest clubs in the world, and Arsenal now find themselves without Champions League football.
Indeed, it’s a shame that a legend of the game should be met with such animosity, given what he’d done for the club. However, the boardroom didn’t do enough to protect either Wenger or their team, and they both suffered as a result.
Contract mess

Losing Aaron Ramsey at the stage in his career is nothing short of a catastrophe.
The Wales international is in his prime, playing a key role in Arsenal’s run of form that has seen them unbeaten in 16 in all competitions. So why are they letting him go?
Indeed, the fact that he’s still getting minutes on the pitch, rather than wasting away in the reserves, is testament to just how important Ramsey is. Yes, they have some younger talents coming through. And, yes, they look extremely promising. But who are the club going to turn to when they’re in need of Premier League experience?
The midfielder is just another name on a long list of players Arsenal have let slip in the past.
