The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to their side’s game this weekend against Brighton. The Reds have enjoyed a decent few weeks, with a win against Stoke City coming earlier this week, and with Mo Salah in the team, anything is possible.
However, despite their renewed success, it’s clear that not everything is perfect at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp’s men have been consistent all season long, and even when they have won, it has not been without controversy. Whether it be in terms of individual errors or otherwise, Liverpool are not a side that can be deemed consistent, and that’s a problem for the club.
As they look to continue to turn their season around and secure their spot in the top four, Jurgen Klopp needs to make sure that his side are reliable enough to compete at the highest level. They’ve proven they have the quality in recent weeks, but a few personnel changes could give them the stability needed to really kick on.
With that said, it’s time for Klopp to swing the axe and drop these 2 disappointing Liverpool regulars – agreed?

Joel Matip
Whilst Joel Matip has often been the lone pillar of stability at the back for Liverpool, that hasn’t been the case lately.
Particularly against Stoke City this week, Matip was at fault for a number of big mistakes for the Reds, and on another night, it could have really cost the team.
He’s had a lot of responsibility thrust upon his shoulders this season, and it may all be getting too much for him.
Whilst Dejan Lovren has improved, Matip has struggled, and changes are needed.
Alberto Moreno
Alberto Moreno has bounced back somewhat from his disastrous performance against Sevilla, but there is still an air of concern surrounding the Spaniard.
It’s clear that he is an accident waiting to happen, and until that’s sorted, the Liverpool defence is always at risk of collapse.
He is a talented player, and Klopp clearly rates him, but the simple fact of the matter is that he isn’t consistent enough to really ever secure his long-term future in this position.
Liverpool need stability at the back, and Moreno doesn’t bring it.
