Sheffield Wednesday have struggled of late and there may be animosity towards some at the club, including players, but fans have been full of praise for Jacob Murphy on his birthday.
The winger turned 25 on Monday and celebrated in the best way possible on Saturday, by scoring against Birmingham to put his side 3-2 in front.
It almost turned out to be the winner before a last-minute Blues equaliser, but the on-loan Newcastle man should have wrapped things up earlier when he ran through one-on-one with the goalkeeper but saw his effort saved by Lee Camp. Nevertheless, he has impressed in parts this season, and his six-goal contributions in 14 league starts have left a number of supporters sending plaudits his way in reaction to his birthday.
Some suggest he has maintained a high level despite the team struggling for wins of late, and if he maintains his run of form he may be able to help the Owls pick up more points.
