Aston Villa are making in-roads to propel themselves up the Championship table in the hope of gaining promotion this season.
Dean Smith is not messing around as he has quickly turned around results to get Villa back on form again.
The Championship has proven to be a very difficult league to escape from and Aston Villa are the latest team to have found that statement to be true as well.
Having failed to gain promotion last year, their squad is much better prepared and full of the quality needed to help them.
The need for extra squad quality is still apparent however and recently Aston Villa have found themselves linked with a winger, Cardiff’s Kadeem Harris to be exact.
Harris, who is valued at £315,000 on Transfermarkt, is a player that would fit in well at Aston Villa, having experienced the Championship before.
When playing 37 times in the 2016/17 season, Harris presented all his best qualities for Cardiff and Aston Villa, among other admirers, would have liked what they saw.
This season, he only recently made his first start of the season, in Cardiff’s 2-1 win over Brighton, and therefore could be available to leave the club if he has only made four appearances.
With his contract up in the summer, the Villans will have to act fast to secure their man, in light of news that other teams will also be interested.
The pace-merchant would be a great addition on a free and could add even more competition to a top squad of Aston Villa players.
