The relationship between Jack Ross and Sunderland supporters has not been the best this season, as indicated by the manager hitting out at them in the media.
However, one Roker Report reader named Trevor has suggested that Ross should be given a chance to show that he is the right man for the job:
“Why don’t we just give Jack Ross a proper chance and see if he can do the job?” writes RR reader Trevor. Have you got something to say?

Trevor’s suggestion didn’t get the best response from many within the club’s fanbase though, with many completely disagreeing with him.
They feel that the Scotsman has been given enough of a chance, with a squad they think should have been good enough to get promoted last season if directed in the right way.
The message is pretty simple: many Sunderland fans want Jack Ross out of their club, so they can move on with someone who is more positive in their management style.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the comment, including posts from frustrated Sunderland fans, can be seen below:
Proper chance? Hes had 71 games man! He was given a second chance if anything and it’s as clear as day nothing has changed and nothing has improved and he isnt the manager to take us forward #safc

Trevor clearly doesn’t understand football

People would be happy to give him a chance if we were showing signs of improvement. He’s signed 7 different centre half’s in his 16 month here and we still can’t keep a clean sheet.

He had the best squad in the league last season, was given the summer because of the upheaval previously, nothing seems to have improved. He’s had a chance and if he goes he can have no complaints in that regard

He had the best squad in the league last season, pretty sure that’s enough of a chance
