Leeds United further strengthened their promotion challenge on Saturday afternoon with a win over Huddersfield Town in the Yorkshire derby at Elland Road.
The Whites went into the game with results around them going in their favour.
Last night, we saw Nottingham Forest lose heavily at home thanks to three first-half goals from Millwall, whilst the lunch time game saw Fulham draw 1-1 with play-off chasing Bristol City.
Both results left Leeds with an open door to really strengthen their top two position and they duly did that, getting in front early with a Luke Ayling goal.
Indeed, that wobble at the start of 2020 seems a long time ago now as the men from Elland Road firmly seem on their way to the Premier League at long last.
Naturally, plenty was said on Twitter after this most important of wins and, though there are still a few weeks to go, the happiness was clear as day.
