Leeds fans watched on as their side recorded a 3-0 win over EFL newbies Salford City in the Carabao Cup 1st round on Tuesday night, and goals from Eddie Nketiah, Gaetano Berardi and Mateusz Klich gave them a reason to celebrate.

The opener, minutes before half-time, was bagged by debutant and Arsenal loanee Eddie Nketiah. The young striker was in the right place at the right time to open his Leeds United account and it will serve as a good sign for the season to come.
Earlier this month the Whites lost Kemar Roofe as the striker signed for Anderlecht (BBC), and with Nketiah the striker brought in by Marcelo Bielsa, it’s positive to see the youngster getting off to a scoring start to his time at Elland Road.

Sign of a good striker. Starved of service, but pops up in the perfect position for a tap in. A fox in the box

The Whites loved Nketiah’s debut goal and now it’s up to the player to get off to a similarly good start in the Championship.
