Pontus Jansson has left Leeds this summer after three years at Elland Road, joining Brentford for £5.5m (BBC). However, his comments about the move to Swedish outlet Aftonbladet have drawn criticism from fans of his former club.

The Swede is one who has proven previously to speak out controversially, accusing an EFL referee of ‘robbery’ and earning himself a one-match ban, as per The YEP.
Now, though, the 28-year-old is not the Whites’ problem and his parting gift to the Elland Road faithful has come in the form of some questionable comments as to why he was sold.
The former Torino defender claimed ‘Leeds needed to balance the books because of FFP and they saw they could make some money out of me’, which as you can imagine, has gone down like a lead balloon.

The Whites will be taking anything that Jansson says about their club with a pinch of salt, judging from these replies, and will just be focused on starting the Championship season well.
