Leeds United certainly caught the imagination yesterday evening at the Emirates in the FA Cup as they took Arsenal to task in their match before eventually losing out 1-0.
The Whites have put in some memorable performances over the last couple of seasons thanks to the work of Marcelo Bielsa and his staff and on a stage like the Emirates they got the chance to show what they were all about.
Realistically they should have been at least two, even three, goals in front by half-time but the scores were level and after a clear rocket from Mikel Arteta, Arsenal were the better side after the break.
Even so, Leeds were hugely impressive and the football world enjoyed what they saw with Joe Lolley – of Nottingham Forest – doffing his cap to the work of their Argentine manager:
