Leeds United have made forward Emre Mor a transfer target, according to Fotospor.
The Turkish giants are looking to part ways with the 22-year-old after completing the signings of Henry Onyekuru and Jesse Sekidika.
However, it is being claimed that the Whites don’t want to sign the player directly from the Turkish club, where the player is currently on-loan, due to the bad relationship between the two sides.
Normally adding a player like Mor who was highly-rated, upon his arrival to Borussia Dortmund, back in the summer of 2016 would be a great decision.
However, his career has taken a turn for the worse during recent years and a plethora of attitude problems act as warnings against any signing for the Yorkshire outfit.
He fell out with figures at the German club just a year after signing for them and was shipped out to Spanish club Real Betis as a result (via The Sun).
Perhaps it was reasonable to think his attitude problems would be a thing of the past, however, they began to rear their ugly head in Spain. The attacker turned up to training late one week and was forced to publicly apologise as a result.
Then there comes the question surrounding his quality.
In comparison to Jack Harrison, for example, Mor (via WhoScored) only averages more dribbles and fouls won per game this campaign. Moreover, the Manchester City loanee has contributed more goals this season than Mor, showing his higher levels of attacking threat when compared to the Turkey international.
It would be beggars belief if the Whites decided to sign a player that isn’t better than what they currently have. Mor is young, however, doesn’t come with enough quality and too much baggage, making him a potentially ill-advised signing for the Yorkshire outfit.
If the club is serious about gaining promotion to the Premier League, then adding a player who has proven to be a hindrance isn’t the best way to achieve it.
