Leeds United fans were left lauding Patrick Bamford after his performance in the 3-3 draw against Cardiff City at the weekend.
Bamford scored a brace as he continued his good run of form in the Championship, notching up his fifth goal in just his seventh appearance (via Transfermarkt).
However, his overall performance against the Bluebirds shows why Marcelo Bielsa is keen to stick with him as his frontman.
The 26-year-old was in brilliant form for the Whites, scoring with both his shots on target, making one clearance and blocking one shot (via WhoScored).
Bamford’s consistent starting role has left fellow strike partner Eddie Nketiah frustrated with the Arsenal loanee yet to start a Championship game for the Whites.
Fans were left lavishing Bamford with praise after he scored a brace for the first time since the game away to Wigan Athletic earlier this season.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:
Bamford’s better than Eddie in buildup & ball retention, but to focus on that is wrong. Eddie gave us a man advantage.
Now, that extra man wouldn’t make a difference when they had the ball as they were going route 1, but when we had it, it should’ve been much easier to keep it.

.@Patrick_Bamford has won the most stubborn of leeds fans over (me).
Massive effort and vital contribution, and he’s putting chances away.
Huge improvement over the last couple of months.
Thank you Paddy.

Just want to say that @PatrickBamford_ is one of the most talented footballers in the championship and top scorer for @LUFC getting 2 goals and definitely man of the match today
