Many Leeds United fans have backed Marcelo Bielsa after a tweet claiming he wouldn’t back down from the philosophy he has put in place at the club.
The Argentine was involved in a fiery pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Nottingham Forest as he answered just five questions in a total of 59 minutes (via Phil Hay). One of the issues he addressed was his philosophy, which according to Phil Hay, he won’t jettison despite the Yorkshire outfit’s poor run of form. The side have won just two of their last 10 games across all competitions, leaving them just three points clear of third-placed Fulham (via WhoScored).
However, Bielsa has come under pressure for some of his tactical decisions and was criticised by Ian Wright for his decision not to put Jean-Kevin Augustin on the bench against Wigan Athletic (via BBC Radio 5 Live).
