According to a report from Football Insider, Leeds United are considering a bid to make loanee keeper Illan Meslier’s loan deal permanent – with news since coming out stating that the club could be willing to trigger the youngster’s £5 million release clause.
Meslier, who stepped in to replace banned keeper Kiko Casilla this season after the Spaniard racially abused Jonathon Leko at the Valley, has played just two Championship games for the Whites – most recently shutting out Hull City during a 4-0 victory.
Now, with the football season temporarily suspended due to recent events, Leeds could be taking the opportunity to tie down much-needed squad members, including stopper, Meslier. Despite the fact he has only played two games, many supporters see this as a potentially great transfer move – with one fan begging Leeds to ‘pay the money asap‘ while others suggest the Frenchman has ‘lots of promise‘.

If we can afford to buy him we should. Lots of promise for someone so young, not fazed by big crowds & his value will only increase.
