Some Leeds supporters weren’t feeling very positive even before they were beaten by QPR at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium following the announcement of their matchday squad prior to kick-off.
Fans took issue with the strength of the bench, which included teenagers Alfie McCalmont, Oliver Casey and Jordan Stevens.
With no recognised striker among the substitutes, Leeds fans took to Twitter to voice their frustrations, which were arguably justified as the Whites went on to suffer a third consecutive defeat in all competitions.
The amount of inexperience on the bench was among the concerns of the Leeds faithful, while the need to find reinforcements this January was also highlighted as the fans were perhaps right to be fearful that the team were not equipped to win the game following the unwanted result in west London.
Below is a selection of Leeds fans who were not full of confidence before the match:
That bench is seriously alarming

Good job it’s an early kickoff. Those lads on the bench have to be in bed by 8.

Good to see Pablo back but sorry lads that bench is far too inexperienced for a team chasing automatic promotion.
