Leeds United fans have been bemoaning the news that manager Marcelo Bielsa has swooped up the manager of the month award.
The feeling among the fans is that the award is a curse and that it could start ‘the kiss of death’ for the Yorkshire side, according to one fan.

Supporters could be onto something if you take last season’s occurrences into account.
Bielsa was awarded the gong back in August 2018 having secured five wins out of the opening eight Championship games of the season (via Sports Mole).
However, in September, Leeds found themselves floundering as they won just one of their three league games.

Leeds face a challenging run of fixtures as they face promotion rivals Fulham, Preston North End and West Bromwich Albion in three of their next five games.
It seems fans weren’t too pleased with the experienced coach winning the award as they took to Twitter to react.
