Leeds United fans have been bemoaning the latest news concerning former Elland Road player Jack Clarke ahead of the club’s next fixture.
It has been revealed by Phil Hay that Clarke is close to sealing a move to Championship side Queens Park Rangers. The move proves an incredible slice of luck for the 19-year-old as if the deal is completed within the necessary timeframe he could well face Marcelo Bielsa’s side this Saturday.
Clarke endured a torrid time at Elland Road in the first half of this campaign, having featured in just three games across all competitions, including just a single league fixture (via Transfermarkt). He was recalled by parent club Tottenham Hotspur and it seems the north London side’s choice could come back to haunt the promotion chasers.
Fans were left bemoaning the move for Clarke ahead of the clash between the two sides as they took to Twitter to react. Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:
I think we all know how this story ends.
