Leeds United: Fans demand a striker after Sheffield Wednesday defeat

Leeds United fell to a 2-0 defeat to Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road in disappointing fashion. Now, their gap to the play-off places is down to six points after a disastrous run of form over the festive period. Worryingly, Marcelo Bielsa’s men have won just one of their last six Championship games, also falling to defeat to Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup.

The loss to the Owls was symptomatic of their problems, as they dominated possession but were unable to convert their chances. According to WhoScored, the Whites bossed 67% of the ball against former manager Garry Monk but, still, failed to find a way through.
