Leeds United fans were coming up with their own theories about the club’s poor form in London this season.
The Whites lost their third consecutive league game in the capital last weekend as they went down 2-1 to promotion rivals Fulham.
It follows on from losses against the likes of Millwall and Charlton Athletic earlier on this campaign.
Supporters were hitting out at the referees from the games with one fan believing ‘dreadful’ penalty decisions were the reason for the defeats in their games against the south-east Londoners and the Cottagers.
Well the last 2 have definitely been dreadful penalty decisions by inept refs!

The Yorkshire outfit have been on the end of some questionable penalty decisions in two of the three games in London.
In the game against the Lions, Gaetano Berardi was thought to have fouled Tom Bradshaw as the side opened the scoring from the penalty spot. However, his subsequent red card was overturned after an appeal by the Yorkshire outfit (via talkSPORT).
Against Fulham, Leeds were once again on the end of a questionable decision as the west London side were awarded a penalty after just seven minutes, a claim disputed by former Leeds man Michael Brown.
Fans are adamant that referees are the reason for the club’s poor form in London as they took to Twitter to react.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Yorkshire faithful:

Maybe it’s the refs who don’t like us Northern teams 🤔

But sometimes the referee? Millwall and Fulham in particular.#Lufc

Our last 2 trips to London have seen Leeds go a goal down within the first 5 minutes due to penalty decisions that would only be given by either incompetent or corrupt referees.
Could that be a factor?

Shocking refereeing decisions are a big contribution to our poor record in London
