Replying to a tweet by Leeds United’s official Twitter account, goalkeeper Illan Meslier was ecstatic at ‘keeping a clean sheet again‘ after a simulated 2-0 win over Fulham on FIFA 20.
Since football’s temporary suspension, Leeds have been publishing a series of FIFA 20 matches to help fill the gaping hole that a lack of match action has left behind – with Meslier starting between the sticks online and keeping a clean sheet in the simulated 2-0 victory.
Goals from Jack Harrison and Pablo Hernandez ensured the Whites’ FIFA side built upon their win over Cardiff at the weekend, with supporters having to make do with this until real football eventually resumes.
In response to Meslier’s message regarding his own gaming performance, many supporters have lauded the loanee , calling him ‘brilliant‘ and a ‘hero‘ whilst also praising his ‘amazing‘ tweet.
