Some Leeds United fans were on a high after Sheffield Wednesday were beaten 1-0 by relegation-threatened Luton Town in the Championship last night.
The result doesn’t affect the Whites, with the side 12 points off the Marcelo Bielsa’s team, but it brought a smile to the faces of some supporters after the Owls beat the Yorkshire outfit at Elland Road earlier this year. James Collins proved to be the hero for the Hatters after he turned in Harry Cornick’s pass in the 23rd minute (via BBC).
One fan called it a ‘typical’ moment from former Leeds coach Garry Monk.
Typical monk. Picks up 3 points from Leeds but can’t stop the mighty Luton. 😂😁🐍🐍

Monk’s side have now fallen nine points behind sixth-placed Preston North End in the race for a playoff spot and the South Yorkshire outfit face the prospect of being deducted points after owner Dejphon Chansiri sold the club to himself for £60m, a figure which potentially breaches EFL regulations (via Team Talk). It’s easy to see why these Leeds fans were in such a good mood as they took to Twitter to react to the loss to Luton. Here are some of the reactions:

Just a reminder that #SWFC still haven’t won a league game since they celebrated promotion at Elland Road… they’re currently fortunate to be only 1-0 down at Luton! #cupfinal #lufc
