Leeds United fans were going ballistic after Luke Ayling’s stunning strike in the club’s 5-4 win over Birmingham City yesterday.
After receiving the ball just outside the box, Ayling carried the ball forward a few yards before unleashing a rocket into the back of the net.
It was the defender’s first goal this campaign, coming in his 16th Championship appearance (via WhoScored).
His goal was the third in a rather bonkers encounter between the Whites and the Blues as Leeds took the lead four times and failed to hold on to it on three occasions.
The result was only secured when a cross from Ayling on the right-hand side was turned in his own net by Wes Harding in the 95th minute.
Fans were going crazy after seeing the 28-year-old’s goal in the pulsating game against their Championship rivals as they took to Twitter to react.
