Leeds United fans have been displaying their happiness after journalist Phil Hay revealed a statistic about the number of shirts the club have sold this season.
According to Hay, the Yorkshire outfit has sold over 110,000 shirts this campaign, a figure that greatly ‘outstrips most Premier League clubs’. This number comes amid rumours that Adidas is in discussions to be the club’s new shirt manufacturer from next season ( via The Athletic).
One fan highlighted his thoughts on the figure being mentioned, describing it as “superb”.
Superb!👏👏👏

While Leeds have endured ups and downs since their last appearance in the top-flight of English football, there remains no question over the size of the club seen by the appointment of Marcelo Bielsa. He was appointed as head coach at the club in the summer of 2018 and was labelled as the best in the world by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola back in 2017 (via talkSPORT).
Fans were left feeling pleased after it emerged that the club has sold a number of shirts as they took to Twitter to react. Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:
Be 500,000 if they ever had them in stock
