Some Leeds United fans have hit out at a Twitter post that highlighted the criticism aimed towards players of the first-team squad.
The post by James Howson talks about the constant criticism of the Whites as well as mentioning the club figures who have come out in condemning supporters for their tweets about the squad. Andrea Radrizzani, the Yorkshire outfit’s majority owner, responded to former player Tony Dorigo’s disapproval of fans’ comments with a GIF of cheering and applause.
Director of football Victor Orta has also been vocal on the voice of supporters, claiming he understood the ‘passion’ but feeling that some criticism he had received was ‘unfair’ (via Leeds Live). It seems as though some fans didn’t agree with the important figures as they took to the social media site to hit out at the post calling out the criticism of the team. Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:
Mate they’re big boys, if they can’t handle criticism then they should stay away from social media, they have no problem taking compliments

The common denominator is that the people mentioned have all been, or are being, paid by the club, those criticising are all paying the club.

No, the manager has to play a striker who scores goals!! No good working hard for the team, getting 70% possession and still losing. It’s not Bamford or the teams fault, the manager is stubborn and for the 2nd season running the supporters will pay money to watch them fail!!

They blew a 13 point lead. On top of what happened last season. What do you expect when we’ve hardly changed the team

Do u not think people have a right to say something when they spend hard earned money to buy tickets.. people that are in minimum wage. These footballers get paid thousands lol.. I’m sure they can handle the critics.. give me 30k a week and I’ll let you abuse me all you want
