Leeds United: Fans hit out at club after latest transfer update from Phil Hay

Leeds United fans were hitting out at the club after the latest update from journalist Phil Hay on the side’s transfer plans.

The Athletic’s Leeds correspondent revealed news concerning both Southampton’s Che Adams and Manchester City youngster Ian Poveda. He told his followers that a decision about the Saints man is still to be reached with the Yorkshire outfit having set a deadline. Meanwhile, Poveda is still expected to hold talks with the club despite being spotted in the stands for Tornio’s win over Bologna (via Tuttosport).

The moves for the two players would plug some much-needed gaps in Marcelo Bielsa’s side, which is limited to just one striker after Eddie Nketiah returned to Arsenal and with Tyler Roberts still out of action (via Transfermarkt). There is also a concern about the side’s attack with Leeds having scored the fewer number of goals than both Brentford and West Bromwich Albion (via BBC).

Phil when did they know for certain about Nketiah? We as fans known for 13 days surely something should have been boxed off by now and they should have been primed it was widely rumoured since October that he would go back
