Some Leeds United fans couldn’t believe what they were hearing when Jon Bon Jovi gave his backing to Patrick Bamford to start scoring again.
In an interview on talkSPORT, the rock star gave the under-fire striker his support, claiming the player was ‘great’ and also commented on their unlikely friendship due to Bamford’s love of Bon Jovi. He’s endured a tough time this campaign, having gone on a run of no goals in 10 Championship games stretching from August right through to November (via Transfermarkt).
Despite his poor displays, he has been backed by head coach Marcelo Bielsa, who launched a staunch defence of his frontman. The Argentine pointed out the Englishman’s contribution to the team’s football and said the entire forward line have opportunities to score (via Leeds Live).
