According to Ghanasoccernet, the Yorkshire outfit are set to tempt the Welsh side’s resolve by making an offer for the forward.
They are reporting that Marcelo Bielsa is keen to be reunited with the striker whom he managed at Marseille.
However, the report also states that Swansea are not keen on parting with the player, but, could be forced to do so if they receive a high enough bid.
While the Ghanaian is happy at Swansea, a source close to him is stating that he wants a return to the Premier League.
Ayew has enjoyed a fine season at the Championship club having racked up nine goals and four assists in 21 Championship appearances (via Transfermarkt).
Fans weren’t too fond of the interest in the player as they took to Twitter to react with disbelief.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:

Because in the past the negotiations between Swansea and us have gone so well…………
Personally I will wait until the window closes before I believe any spurious reports of transfers coming in or out.
