Leeds United fans have been hitting out at Tyler Roberts amid the forward’s return to action.
Prior to the game against Sheffield Wednesday, it was revealed that the striker was set to return to training after he missed the New Year’s day fixture against West Bromwich Albion with a tight hamstring (via Yorkshire Evening Post).
One fan was left criticising the player as he compared him to a Breakfast cereal.
Good player but made of Weetabix is Roberts unfortunately

The 21-year-old was out of action having gone off in the 1-0 win over Reading towards the back end of 2019. However, he returned in the 5-4 win over Birmingham City, but, seemingly suffered a recurrence and has been out since. As a result, he has made just 1o appearances in the Championship this campaign, scoring one goal in the process (via Transfermarkt).
A return to action couldn’t come soon enough after Eddie Nketiah’s recall (via Sky Sports) left Patrick Bamford as the only fit centre-forward. Fans were left blasting the youngster as they took to Twitter to react. Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:
He’s not prolific enough or fit enough to rely on. Want Che Adams personally, that lad can score pic.twitter.com/td7euqUoiG

I think it’s because he’s only ever available for a quarter of the season

Sick note

Cos he can’t finish a full game that’s why! Wish he wasn’t so injury prone but unfortunately he is

I like Roberts, but you have to admit he seems to be made of biscuit #lufc pic.twitter.com/6HRG15POgX

He’s never fit. Played 15 mins or so against Brum and he’s out again. Can’t rely on him

Leeds fans, do you think Bielsa can rely on Roberts for the remainder of this season? Let us know your thoughts!
