Leeds United: Fans lambaste Marcelo Bielsa after comments on Jean-Kevin Augustin

Leeds United fans were lambasting Marcelo Bielsa after he commented on why Jean-Kevin Augustin was left out the matchday squad for the loss to Wigan Athletic.

After the game against the Latics, the Argentine came out and claimed that the French forward needed time to adapt to the way the Whites play and that he is unwilling to introduce him to the Championship and the crowd before he had done so (via Phil Hay).

The £12.6m-rated, as per Transfermarkt, youngster hadn’t seen much action in January prior to his move to the promotion-hopefuls with his one and only start coming in the Coupe De France against Saint-Pryve FC back on the 20th of January. However, that proved to be his first start in more than a month with his last one before then coming way back on the 17th of December in the Coupe De La Ligue. Fans weren’t too happy with their manager after his comments on Augustin as they took to Twitter to react. Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:

Sorry but don’t agree with bielsa here about getting up to speed. He’s an athlete & been playing football. Also complained that we needed a striker who could fit right in so why the excuse? I’m not having it. Also forshaw needs to have the op as let’s face it he ain’t gonna play
