Many Leeds United fans have lashed out at the FA for their failure to reach a verdict with regards to Kiko Casilla’s charge of using racist language.
The Spaniard has already had a two-day hearing relating to his clash with Jonathan Leko during the fixture against Charlton Athletic earlier in the season (via Phil Hay). Former Whites defender Alex Bruce has spoken of his shock at the time it has taken for the governing body to reach a decision, claiming verdicts are usually reached quicker (via Football Insider).
Should Casilla get a ban, Marcelo Bielsa has already confirmed that Illan Meslier will take over from the former Real Madrid man (via Leeds Live). This comes despite the fact the Ligue 2 loanee has yet to make an appearance in the Championship, with the 33-year-old having played every single minute in the league this campaign. The lack of an update on whether the ‘keeper will get a ban or not seems to be frustrating plenty of Whites supporters. The FA will wait until Casilla’s injury situation is known. If he’s about to miss games they will defer releasing a decision until they know he’s fit and available. Then they will ban him. Like the EFL they are a total shambles and a disgrace. Leeds should take them to court.
